Special Message

COVID-19 Special Message: Your SPCA is here for you and the animals who depend on us. We continued to be here to help pets, wildlife, and you during the pandemic and we are currently open for all programs and services with safety measures in place so that we can always be here for everyone who needs us.

Our staff and volunteers are over 95% vaccinated. Masks are required for all staff, volunteers, and customers at our location at 1002 Monterey-Salinas Highway. We have continued our increased cleaning protocols to maintain a safe environment for our team, our animals, and our community.

Adoptions: We strongly encourage adoption holds and using our Pet Alert Program when looking for a new pet. Masks are required in our shelter for all staff, volunteers, and customers.

Animal Camp: Our camps are open with reduced number of campers in each session and numerous safety measures in place, including masks.

Benefit Shop: Our staff and volunteers are required to wear masks, and we have continued our increased cleaning protocols. Masks are not currently required for customers at the Benefit Shop.

Dog Training: We are offering in-person and virtual classes tailored to your dog's individual needs. For in-person classes, masks are required for all staff, volunteers, and customers.

Incoming Animals: We strongly encourage appointments for surrendered pets. This allows us to be prepared for your pet's arrival and better serve you during this emotional time. Masks are required in our shelter for all staff, volunteers, and customers.

Pet Food Bank: We are offering free pet food to anyone in need in our community every Saturday from 10-11 am at the SPCA.

Spay/Neuter: We are offering curbside drop off and pick up service so customers do not need to enter our building. Appointments are required.

Thank you for helping us keep our community safe!
