Volunteer Opportunities

Urgent SPCA Volunteer Opportunities

While we have many volunteer opportunities available, the following positions are currently our most urgent needs. Volunteers who are interested in filling one of these positions will be fast-tracked through our volunteer training system and will be able to begin volunteering immediately. Animal Care Volunteer
Assist with cleaning adoption condos and rooms.  After cleaning, focus on socializing and exercising our adoptable dogs, cats, and small pets. We are in need of additional Animal Care Volunteers on all weekday mornings from 8:30 to 11:30 as well as weekday afternoons.

Adoption Greeter
Help greet customers and support our Customer Service staff in our new Adoption Pavilions. We are looking to fill two morning weekend slots with outgoing and personable volunteers. Other tasks may include cleaning and office assistance.

Wildlife Assistant
Assist our Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation Center during “baby bird season” (March-September). Jobs include preparing meals, laundry, cleaning cages, general facility maintenance, feeding wildlife, assisting with their care and record-keeping. Morning and evening shifts are available for the season. Training begins in January.

Complete school-required service hours or become an SPCA intern helping animals.

Military Service Volunteers
For active-duty military personnel looking to complete a limited number of volunteer service hours.

Adult Community Service
Complete your court-ordered service helping animals. Please no convictions for illicit substances, theft, assault, or animal abuse.
