Joan Fontaine: A Lasting Legacy for Animals

During the next few months, Christie’s will be auctioning items from the California home of Academy Award-winning actress Joan Fontaine, including her 1941 Oscar for best actress. The 104 lots of fine art, silver, lighting, furniture and jewelry will benefit the local, independent SPCA for Monterey County, a nonprofit organization close to Miss Fontaine’s heart and where she adopted her three dogs Kita, Fang IV, and Samantha.
