Foster Friends

Volunteer efforts in support of The SPCA’s Foster Friends Program help to prepare underage or injured pets for their permanent and loving homes. Foster Friends volunteers provide an invaluable service for the animals in their care.  The Foster Friends volunteer experience is rewarding for both animal and foster parent alike. Upon successful completion of the foster process, all fostered animals are placed through The SPCA’s regular adoption process. This requirement ensures that animals are placed appropriately as well as spayed or neutered, licensed, vaccinated, microchipped, etc. Contact us now

The Hug-A-Pet program strives to bring companionship, activity, stimulation and cheer to those in our community residing in convalescent or hospice facilities. The psychological, physiological and social benefits of the bonds between humans and companion animals are well documented. Hug-A-Pet extends many of these benefits to those who may now be in a situation where they are experiencing isolation from family, friends, or even their own companion animal. Trained volunteers and their certified (SPCA Canine Good Citizen Program) companion dogs regularly visit facilities to provide conversation, companionship, affection and fun. Apply now
