How to Adopt
HOW TO ADOPT A PET
Thank you for opening your heart to a pet rescued by your local, independent SPCA Monterey County! Please fill out this adoption form so we can schedule your appointment to meet your new, loving pet.
It is vital that we continue to find new homes for adoptable pets while animals in need arrive daily. Adoptions are currently available by appointment to ensure meeting social distancing guidelines. Appointments are not holds, and we are not able to accommodate walk-ins. Please note that our adoptable pets are all in foster right now, so when you make an appointment, the foster will bring the pet to us for you to meet. Due to this, you will be meeting one pet and not be able to meet multiple pets. If you are 15 minutes late for an appointment, we will help other adopters first and you may need to wait or reschedule. Thank you for your understanding during this time.
Don’t see that special pet when you visit? Sign up for our Pet Alert Program to receive a text or email when they pet you’re looking for is available for adoption!
During this time, the SPCA hold policy is not in effect. Thank you for understanding.
