Eric Clower, Maintenance Manager
Eric Clower Sr. joined the SPCA team as the Maintenance Manager in August 2017. Before working with the SPCA, Eric worked in the maintenance department at The Monterey Bay Aquarium where he was no stranger to being around animals and tending to their needs.
Eric’s love for animals all started with a Saint Bernard named Maggie, who he loved as a boy growing up in Waukesha, Wisconsin. After his service in the U.S. Army, he settled down in the Monterey Peninsula where he lives with his wife Jenn and daughter Kim.
Eric was inspired to work with the SPCA by Adam, a special needs cat. Adam has Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH), a condition that affects his motor skills. Eric found himself willing to do whatever it took to make Adam’s quality of life better. Eric says “seeing him happy gives me purpose and in his own way he shows me that he is grateful.”
Eric has always had animals in his life and says that “joining the SPCA was meant to be and helping animals is my true calling.”
